I haven't been able to wear this plaid shirt yet because it has been so hot! Of course it was still hot when I wore it this weekend but I was tired of seeing it just hanging in my closet for weeks now. It's kind of nice to break out the fall clothes and lip/nail colors. I haven't worn dark nail polish in ages!

I was going to wear a strapless dress Saturday but thought that might be a bad idea considering I had my three boys with me. Strapless dresses and clingy kids is not a good combination. I'm just glad I had enough sense to realize that before I left the house.

There's a strong possibility that I have already worn this outfit on my blog before. But oh well. Here ya go again if that's the case!

Hey guys! I know my posts are not as frequent as they used to be. It's just so hard to get pictures done each week. It is a lot easier for me to just take pictures with my phone of what I wore and post that to Instagram than it is to load all the kids up in the car and drive to some location for pictures. Wow. It's been almost two months since my last post! Yikes. I've had an extremely busy summer. I've spent the past two months frantically writing a syllabus for EIGHT dance classes for this upcoming year. I've talked with a mentor about creating and selling a jazz syllabus so this past summer I've dedicated my time to doing just that. So if you are in the market for a jazz syllabus, just let me know! :)

My hubby and I had a date night this past weekend to celebrate my upcoming birthday. This is really the first time that I have worn a cute outfit in a long time. I've been living in workout clothes and my hair in a bun lately. It's also the first time that I've been able to fit in this skirt in a long time. Yay for being back in my clothes again!

I know this post is called Casual Friday, but this is actually what I wore last night. My friend and I were finally able to go see Maleficent last night. I thought it was great! It was different from the Sleeping Beauty story we are all told as children. And I thought Angelina Jolie was, well, magnificent as Maleficent.

Recital

On Saturday we wrapped up the year with our annual recital. I taught seven classes this year so I had seven dances to oversee that night. All of the girls danced beautifully. I was really pleased with each one of my classes.

It was also a hard night because we had several graduating seniors. I have taught several of them for the past six years so it is difficult saying goodbye to such sweet, talented girls.

This is the dress that I wore the night of the performance. I have searched for weeks for the perfect dress and finally found one from ASOS (of course). If you are looking for the perfect dress for any occasion, you should definitely look there because they are constantly getting new pieces daily.

The weather here has been pretty fantastic lately. The mornings have actually been cool, which for Louisiana is a pretty big deal. I'll take a cool morning in May! 

I wore this the other day to take my mom out to lunch for her birthday. I quickly changed into flats since my ankles have been hurting. I started running a few weeks ago and hurt both of my ankles. I don't have good joints so I should have known not to run. Lesson learned, I will never, ever run again. It's just not for me.

It seems like I've been constantly on the go the past few weeks. Not that I mind; I like staying busy. On Saturday we went to Mass as usual and then my MIL took the two older boys for the rest of the weekend. I got to go by myself to Target that night. It was bliss, let me tell you. I got to linger in the cosmetics section longer than I normally would with my two little wild boys hanging out of the cart. (Last time I went through one of the aisles in the make-up section with my two year old, I ended up with some foundation in my cart that I had not picked up).

So, you might remember this post from last week where I styled the above dress in an outfit set. Well, the 'dress' came in and it really works more as a top. It's definitely too short to be a dress so I decided to wear it with my leather skirt instead.

Mother's Day Maxi

I decided to dress up the day before Mother's Day. We typically go to church on Saturday evenings anyway, so it made sense. I'm actually wearing a maternity dress that I bought to wear to a wedding. I bought it way too small so it's actually just a regular dress now. There was no way my pregnant self would have fit in this dress!

I am also wearing one of my favorite necklaces from my online store, How Gorgeous. This piece is so much fun and will go with so many different outfits.
