Christina Aguilera singing At Last at Etta James funeral

The beloved singer Etta James past away January 20. She was one of my absolute favorite singers of all time. She was so talented and sung right into people's hearts. I laid my own grandfather to sleep last Saturday after he'd been in the hospital for a month and a half and was very ill. I loved him so much, but it was his time and he needed rest, so now he's with God watching over us. I'm so glad that I visited him often and that he's been a part of my daily life since I was little, because we lived so close. Not having a father, he was like one to me. Now I have all the memories to remember and I'm so thankful. Always remember to show and tell the ones you care for that you love them. Actions speak so much louder than words! 

Christina sung Etta's At Last at her funeral. What an amazing voice this girl has. She's one of my favorites. It gave me chills all over, when I heard it.

Kim and Kourtney out in LA yesterday. They have very different styles, but I love both styles. I love that Kim is wearing navy blue skinny jeans. I think navy looks so much more elegant and cool than black.

My fave nail polish designs : Louboutin-nails, ruffian-nails and matte with shiny tip-nails

I've been trying shatters on my nails and different colors, but I must admit that I'm more of an one color gal. I love nude polishes, pinks, dark red and dark purple. I also love these Louboutin-nails. So cool and different. I also love the ruffian nail with the metallic and I think my fave is the matte vs shiny tip combo. I love the color Lincoln park after dark by OPI in matte and shiny - so me. Would you guys like me to do tutorials on these?

Trends: Asymmetry, Yes or No?

I already have my answer...yes! I love anything different when it comes to my clothes. I am loving the current trend of asymmetrical hems on skirts, tunics and dresses. Throwing on one of these high low tunics is an easy way to be chic without putting forth much effort. As a busy mom of two, sometimes I just have to throw on anything so I can get out of the house quickly. I definitely love this trend. What are your thoughts?

Retro Swimwear

Retro-inspired swimsuits are back...and none too soon! Swimsuits have gotten increasingly smaller and smaller over the past couple of years. Cuff your hair up!

 I finally got my hands on the H&M hair cuff. I know I wear a headscarf so most people don't even see my hair, but when I am at home I don't wear a scarf, so I like my hair to look cute too. I love this hair cuff - it's edgy and can be used with all kinds of outfits. I also got one from Glitter, but it's only a half-cuff. Do you like?

In case you haven't heard, Jason Wu for Target will debut on February 5, 2012. The collection is full of classic silhouettes, prints and bold stripes. These are pieces that you can keep in your wardrobe for years to come. Definitely nothing too trendy or 'out there.' Prices range from $20 to $60 making it quite affordable.

If you recall, the collection by Missoni that made its debut in September, sold out in most stores and online in only one day. So if you are interested in getting your hands on any of the items in Wu's collection, better do it quickly!

Kim Kardashian out in Santa Monica January 18, 2012

 Kim looks stunning in this outfit. I love white and nude and Kim shows us how great it looks with navy. I'll try pairing my nudes with navy instead of black and grey. This spring and summer we'll see a lot of white again and wide-legged pants. I love the look of high-waisted wide-leg pants and a shirt. Kim also wore some nude high-waisted wide-legged pants and a bright red shirt last week - I have a similar outfit, which I'll post soon. People said to me that it looked like clowns pants when I wore it, but after seeing a similar outfit on Kim, I guess I do have style- lol.
