Fall Uniform

Gap maternity tee, F21 jacket, Loved maternity jeans, EMU Australia boots, Croft & Barrow tote

I don't know what it is about this pregnancy but I am feeling lazy when it comes to getting dressed. I was the same way with my first baby and it is probably because I was and will be my biggest during the winter. Nothing about being big in the cold says 'Hey, put on a dress!' But then I hate how tight my maternity jeans are so I guess I better suck it up and wear a dress every now and then.

Boots and skinny jeans are always so easy to wear when it's cold and I am so excited to pull out my favorite boots again. And you just can't go wrong with a striped tee... even if it makes my belly look bigger.

Have a great weekend!

Polished and Casual - Part 2

Old Navy vest (similar here), jacket (similar here), and glasses, LOFT dress (similar here), Sole Society flats (similar here), Zara clutch (similar here), belt via TJ Maxx (similar here)

Last Friday I did a post that I called 'polished casual,' which you can read here. As much as I wear heels, I've been trying to add flats to my look a little more lately. I think they are a great way to dress a look down somewhat.

Please take a moment to vote for me in the Wallis contest. The winner gets to take a trip to NYC for fashion week. You can vote hourly here.

Have a great weekend!

Fall on a Budget

I know some of you like to invest in new pieces when fall rolls around each year. This post is devoted to cute fall items for reasonable prices. Any of these pieces would be great additions to your closet for fall, and for such affordable prices you can indulge just a little.

Bags on a Budget
Black and white tote, black clutch, snakeskin clutch, camel crossbody, green satchel bag, camel tote

I definitely like the idea of adding a new bag to my wardrobe when fall comes. Whether it be a neutral color, a bold saturated one, or just black and white, any of these bags would nicely compliment my wardrobe this season. I love the black and leopard clutch and for just $14 I might have to scoop this one up.

Shoes on a Budget
Gold cap toe flats, blue bow pump, red pump, black slingback flats, plaid flats, blue suede oxfords, booties, love me
flats

Since summer is almost over, it's time to start thinking about cute closed-toe shoe options. Normally I'm not into flats that much but with the current selection of such unique and stylish flats, I'm becoming a little more open. I love the idea of that blue suede loafer on a weekend with boyfriend jeans or the plaid flats with skinny jeans for a preppy look.

I think it's always a good idea to see how to work pieces into your wardrobe so I have created a couple of outfits with the bags and shoes that I pictured above.

This outfit looks so comfy and would be perfect for shopping over the weekend or going to a movie.

Dinner Date
Skirt, necklace, earrings

Even though this sweater looks comfy, there is no reason why you can't dress it up for dinner on the weekend. Some cute flats and a contrasting print/textured clutch compliment this look nicely.

Keeping It Casual - 23 (Link-Up)

Love Culture tee, Wallis c/o blazer (here), ASOS maternity pants (here) non-maternity version (here), Worthington wedges via JCP, gifted jewelry, F21 clutch and earrings

I've really tried not to break out the maternity stuff just yet but I couldn't resist these pants. These baggy pants gave my black tee and blazer the perfect casual vibe that I was going for.

This is the third look that I've put together with the blazer sent to me by Wallis. Several bloggers and I were challenged to come up with 'fall transitional' looks. What is better than a blazer to transition into fall? You can see the previous ways that I have worn this blazer here and here.

Since only one blogger can win this fall fashion contest (the grand prize being a trip to NYC for fashion week!) I would be so happy if you would vote for me here. You can vote hourly until the 26th.

Feeling Fall

F21 sweater (on sale here, more sizes here), Wallis c/o blazer (here), Zara skirt (black version in size M here) and clutch
(similar here), Nine West heels, The Rad Market c/o necklace (here)

It's that time. Time to start thinking about how you will transition your wardrobe from summer to fall. I know the temps don't feel like fall is on its way but it will be here before you know it. Personally, fall is one of my favorite seasons. I love that you can wear a sweater and a blazer without sweating to death. Normally when I think of fall, I think of neutral colors but I like the idea of still incorporating a little color into my look.

The Rad Market was kind enough to send me this necklace and I think it is the perfect touch to this fall-ready look. And they were also kind to offer a piece of jewelry to a lucky reader of Fashion and Beauty Finds. This contest is open to U.S. residents so scroll on down to see how you can win a piece of jewelry of your choice!
